The protection of your personal rights during the processing of personal data is an important concern for Alight Consulting GmbH. We process the collected personal data whenever you visit our website. Alight collects, uses and stores your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act of the Federal Republic of Germany (BDSG).

Personal data (usually referred to as “data” below) will only be processed from our end as an imperative necessary for the purpose of providing in order to provide a well functional and user-friendly website, including its contents, and the services offered there.

Per Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”), “processing” refers to any operation or set of operations such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation, alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or otherwise making available, alignment, or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction performed on personal data, whether by automated means or not.

Only the controller himself or by collaborating with other trusted individuals, can manage the purposes and means of processing the personal data (cf. B. Names, contact details, etc.).

Every access to our homepage and every retrieval of a file stored on the homepage are logged. Storage serves for internal system-related and statistical purposes. Here is the information being logged: name of the retrieved file, date and time, amount of the transmitted data, message about successful retrieval, web browser and domain requests. Further personal data will only be collected if you provide this information voluntarily, for example in the context of a request or registration. As far as you have provided us with personal data, we will only use it to answer your inquiries, to process contracts concluded with you and for technical administration. Your personal data will only be transferred to third parties in case it is necessary for contract processing – in particular the transfer of order data to suppliers – or for billing purposes, or if you have given your prior consent. You have the right to revoke your consent with effect for the future at any time. Stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent to storage, or if maintaining of the data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally stored for or if storing it is not permitted for other legal reasons.

  • to confirm/approve that their data is being processed, information about the data being processed, further information about the nature of the data processing, and copies of the data (cf. also Art. 15 GDPR).
  • to correct or complete any incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR).
  • to the immediate deletion of data concerning them (cf. also Art. 17 DSGVO), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary as stipulated in Art. 17 Para. 3 GDPR, to restrict said processing per Art. 18 GDPR.
  • to receive copies of the collected data provided by them and to have the same transmitted to other providers/controllers (cf. also Art. 20 GDPR).
  • to file complaints to the dedicated authority in case they suspect that their data is being processed by the controller inconsistently to the data protection provisions (see also Art. 77 GDPR).

In addition, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom it discloses data of any such corrections, deletions, or restrictions placed on processing the same per Art. 16, 17 Para. 1, 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Nevertheless, users have the right to be informed about these recipients.

Likewise, under Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the controller’s future processing of their data pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Particularly, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permissible.

Your processed data whenever you are using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the same is not in breach of any statutory storage obligations or unless otherwise stipulated below.

Contact form

Data transmitted via the contact form will be stored including your contact data in order to process your enquiry or to be available for follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent. The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. Paragraph 6 1 lit. a DSGVO). A revocation of your provided consent is possible at any time. An informal notification by e-mail is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to at the time of revocation shall remain unaffected by the revocation.

Data transmitted via the contact form will remain at our disposal until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or until there is no longer any need to store the data. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Server log files

Within the server log files, the provider of the website automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits to us. You can find the collected type of information below:

Online job applications / publication of job advertisements

We offer you the opportunity to apply for jobs with our company via our website. In case of these digital applications, we collect your application data electronically in order to process your application.

The legal basis for this processing is §26 Para. 1 S. 1 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 Para. 1 GDPR.

If you are hired as a result of the application process, we will store the data you provided during the application process in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process, naturally in compliance with further legal obligations.

The legal basis is then Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect per Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR with future effect.

XING Plugin

Our website uses functions of the XING network. The supplier is XING AG, Dammtorstrasse 29-32, 20 354 Hamburg, Germany. When a page with built-in Xing functions is called up, a connection to the Xing servers is established. According to our knowledge, personal data is not stored. IP addresses are not stored, nor is the usage behaviour evaluated.

We would like to inform you here about the personal data processing via the function of the XING Share button. The “XING Share-Button” is used on this website. Whenever you visit it, a connection to servers of XING AG (“XING”) is established via your browser at short notice, with which the “XING Share-Button” functions (in particular the calculation/display of the meter value) are provided. XING does not store any of your personal data whenever you access it. Particularly, XING does not store IP addresses. Social media links via graphics

We also integrate the following social media sites into our website. The integration takes place via a linked graphic of the respective site.
